The IREX conference comes at a great time because the EB-5 industry faces several hurdles ahead in 2026 and 2027, including the expiration of the grandfathering provision (September 30, 2026), the investment amount increase (January 1, 2027), and program sunset unless the program is re-authorized (September 30, 2027). Potential EB-5 applicants have a great opportunity to invest before September 30, 2026, to take advantage of the Reform and Integrity Act’s (RIA) grandfathering provision. This states that even if the Regional Center Program lapses in 2027, United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) shall continue processing any petitions filed before September 30, 2026, and may not deny them based on program expiration alone. The RIA authorizes the EB-5 program through September 30, 2027, and the minimum investment amount will increase after January 1, 2027. Now especially, it is more important than ever to partner with a trusted industry leader.
